Hijab magnets hold a scarf in place without a pin passing through the fabric. Each set is a matched pair: one piece sits on the outside of the scarf, the other sits behind it, and the magnets hold the fold between them. For modest fashion brands, scarf labels and accessory wholesalers, they are an easy add-on to a hijab range, and customers like them because they avoid pin holes and snags.

This guide is for buyers sourcing hijab magnets wholesale or under their own label. It covers shell materials, finishes, sizes, magnet strength, packaging and the details to include in an RFQ. Richarms makes hijab magnets with zinc alloy and plastic shells, in custom finishes, packed in pairs.

How hijab magnets work

A hijab magnet is two small magnetic pieces. The decorative piece shows on the outside; the second piece goes behind the fabric. When the two pieces meet, they clamp the scarf in position. Because there is no point or clasp, the set can be moved and reused without leaving a mark in the scarf.

Customers use them under the chin, at the side of the face, at the back of the head or to fix a drape to clothing. The position they choose and the fabric they wear both affect how strong the magnets need to be.

Shell materials: zinc alloy or plastic

We make hijab magnet shells in two materials:

  • Zinc alloy. A metal shell that can be electroplated in metallic colors or set with decorative stones. It suits ranges that want a jewelry look.
  • Plastic. A non-metal shell option. Tell us the look and color you need and we will advise whether plastic suits it.

Both shell types can have custom finishes. If you are unsure which to choose, send a reference photo of the style you want.

Shapes, sizes and finishes

Common shapes in our range include round, square, heart, star and triangle. Examples of current sizes:

  • Round and square styles at 12.5 mm, and smaller round and square styles at 6.25 mm
  • A 16 mm star
  • A 12 mm triangle with a 5 mm magnet
  • A rhinestone style 18 mm across and 7.5 mm thick

Hijab magnets measured at 6.25 mm and 12.5 mm in round and square shapes

Finish options include electroplated colors such as gunmetal black, silver white, bright gold and rose gold, painted colors, and decorative rhinestone settings. Shapes, sizes and colors can be customized to your collection.

Choosing the right magnet strength

Hijab fabrics vary widely, from light chiffon and silk to heavier jersey and layered styles. A set that is too weak lets the scarf slip; a set that is too strong can pull light fabric tight or leave it distorted. We adjust the magnet size and strength to the fabrics in your range.

The simplest way to get this right:

  1. Send us the fabrics your customers use most, or tell us the fabric types.
  2. Test the sample sets on those fabrics, in the positions customers actually use.
  3. Pay attention to both hold and comfort: the set should stay put without pulling the fabric out of shape.
  4. Approve the sample and keep it as the reference for production.

Finish, skin contact and nickel

Hijab magnets sit close to the face and are handled daily, so the finish matters. If you sell into markets with nickel release rules, tell us the market and the standard your products must meet. Richarms has nickel release test reports for selected plated metal parts we produce, and we can discuss testing for your specific finish.

Packaging and safety labels

We pack hijab magnets in pairs, and sets can be presented on display cards. Tell us how many pairs go in each retail pack and whether you need your own branding.

Hijab magnets are small, strong parts. Retail packaging should warn buyers to keep them away from young children and not to swallow them. Check the labelling rules in the markets where you sell.
