The RC-ME1720T reference relates to a specified 17 mm family. It should not be treated as a general tool for every decorative eyelet with a 17 mm outside measurement.

The published reference includes a 2 mm female-part thickness and an 8 mm prong dimension. Confirm these against the chosen snap drawing and the complete material stack. Decorative eyelet diameter, mating diameter and tooling seat diameter are different measurements.
Prepare a sample opening using the recommended method. Support the decorative face, align the tool and set the fitting without crushing the surrounding material. Examine the eyelet edge, backing and mated closure. A clean-looking front can conceal an uneven or loose attachment behind the lining.
