A badge-style front for notebook covers

Measure the notebook when it is filled, including any pen loop or pocket that changes the cover stack. A lock that fits an empty cover can become difficult to align after inserts are added. Use the finished stack to establish the attachment spacing.

The dark inset and surrounding metal frame should be evaluated together with the cover color. Request a rear view, fixing dimensions and a sample finish. During assembly trials, look for impressions on the inner lining and uneven contact caused by a curved flap.

Structure, finish and fixing dimensions

The listed housing material is zinc alloy. Confirm the rear fixing method, mating part and complete supplied set on the current drawing. The outer ornament and the functional closing components need separate measurements.

Finish references in this range include nickel, light gold, rose-gold-tone, antique brass and brushed effects. Availability varies by design. Send a color sample and any authorized artwork; confirm the finish, dimensions and marking area before approving tooling or a bulk order.

Sample approval for the finished accessory

Agree the inspection points before ordering: face dimensions, rear attachment fit, visible finish, closure alignment and the opening action on the finished material. Keep the approved sample and component drawing together so later orders refer to the same version.

A loose hardware sample is useful for appearance, but it cannot replace a fitted prototype. Include lining and reinforcement in the trial, and check for marks or movement after repeated opening. Ask Richarms to confirm the sampling steps, quantity and lead time for the selected specification.

Questions about badge magnetic notebook lock

Will this fit every notebook size?

No. Notebook format alone does not define the flap width, cover thickness or fixing layout. Supply those measurements with the inquiry.

Can the same lock be used on a small bag?

It can be evaluated for a bag flap, but the bag material and opening direction need their own installation sample.

Is there one installation method for all decorative locks?

No. Use the selected product drawing and matched components. Confirm hole positions, backing and tooling before preparing the finished material.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Send the intended application, required quantity, face size, material-stack thickness, finish reference and any customization drawing.
