An iron marker is held by the magnet in a hat clip, divot tool or marker holder, so it stays in place on the course and is easy to pick off. Iron is also economical to stamp and takes plating, paint and enamel well. Markers can also be made in zinc alloy, stainless steel, copper or titanium.
