A golf hat clip holds a ball marker on the brim of a cap or visor, so the golfer can mark the ball on the green and put the marker back without searching a pocket. With a custom logo on the marker, the clip becomes a practical gift for tournaments, golf clubs, corporate events and golf accessory brands.

This guide is for buyers ordering a custom golf ball marker hat clip. It covers how magnetic clips work, marker sizes and surfaces, logo methods, finishes, packaging, MOQ and the details to send in an RFQ. Richarms makes both magnetic e non-magnetic hat clips, plus iron ball markers that attach to the magnetic clips.

How a magnetic hat clip works

The clip slides onto the brim of a cap or visor. A magnet set into the clip holds a separate iron ball marker. The golfer pulls the marker off to mark the ball, then places it back on the magnet.

Non-magnetic clips are also available. They are used where the design does not need a removable marker, or where the marker is held in another way.

The balance of the magnet

The magnet has two jobs that pull in opposite directions. It must hold the marker firmly enough that a swing or a knock against the bag does not shake it loose. It must also let the golfer remove the marker easily without pulling the whole clip off the brim.

When you review samples, check both: shake the cap, then remove and replace the marker several times. If either feels wrong, tell us and we will adjust the magnet for the next sample.

Marker sizes and surfaces

We make clips for 20 mm and 25 mm ball markers. Iron markers come in different face styles, for example:

  • A smooth, polished face with a rounded edge
  • A concave face with a sand-textured finish

Sizes, shapes and patterns can be customized, including shaped markers and clips with text or textured patterns.

Logo methods and finishes

The marker face is where most buyers put their logo. Depending on the design, logos can be added by:

  • UV printing, for full-color artwork
  • Laser engraving, for a clean one-color mark
  • Enamel or epoxy, for color fills and a domed finish
  • Stamped or recessed designs, for raised or sunken detail

Clips and markers are available in several plating finishes, such as polished silver, black and gold tones. Send your artwork, and we will suggest the method that suits its detail and colors.

Finish durability and nickel

Hat clips are worn in sun, sweat and rain, so plating quality matters for appearance. Tell us how the clips will be used and which markets they will be sold in. Richarms has nickel release test reports for selected plated metal parts we produce, and we can discuss testing for your clip and marker finishes.

Packaging

Clips and markers can be packed individually, which protects the finish during shipping and suits retail or gift sets. Tell us whether you need bulk packing, individual bags or a gift presentation.
