WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Which rear structure fits your product. 8 mm options: tubular rivet, prong, and 7-shaped tab with flat or recessed base. 10 mm options: tubular rivet, standard, short or long prong, flat tab, dart-shaped and no-prong. Each is supplied as matching female and male parts.

Mounting & Assembly

Wires soldered to the rear of two snap terminals

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Which dimensions to capture before choosing a part, how riveted, prong, tab and embedded mounting differ, and what to check when wires are soldered to the snap. Heat applied during soldering can affect the magnet and finish, so qualify the process on samples.

Testing & Reliability

Cable-side fitting beside a round electrode stud

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Why a nominal diameter does not define a current rating, and how to set up sample tests: operating current and voltage, contact-resistance method, connection cycles, sweat or moisture exposure. Electrical performance is validated on your assembly, not quoted as one number for every design.

Applications

Round metal contacts mounted in stretch fabric

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Where conductive magnetic snaps are used: detachable electrode and pad connections in massage and electrical stimulation devices, snap-on contacts in wearables and smart textiles, and magnetic quick-release joints in cables. Richarms supplies components; no medical certification is claimed for the component, and device-level approval stays with the device maker.

Custom Development

Conductive magnetic snap with flat no-prong back

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

When a standard structure is enough and when to ask for a custom one: different size, rear structure, terminal position, magnetic holding force, finish or packaging. Say whether you need a single contact part, a mating pair or an assembled unit — each has a different quotation scope.

At a glance

Sizes 8 mm and 10 mm nominal; 10 mm parts are made to Φ10 ±0.1 mm. Each structure has several dimensional variants — send your drawing or counterpart and we will confirm the exact dimensions.
Materials Iron, copper and NdFeB magnet. Example, 10 mm tubular rivet type: copper female shell, iron bases and ring washer, NdFeB magnet.
Finish Nickel. Nickel-free plating available as a project option for selected models — this does not mean the whole part is nickel-free; tell us your nickel requirement and test method.
Electrical Validated against your application on samples; send your current, voltage and contact-resistance targets.
Samples Free samples for testing
MOQ No strict MOQ on stock items; at least 50 sets per order recommended because of shipping cost
Lead time Stock items usually ship in 3–7 days; custom orders usually 15–30 days
